Houston Yacht Club and J/22 Fleet 6 cordially invite you to attend the 2006 Midwinter Regatta presented by Regions Morgan Keegan Select Funds.

Located in secluded Shoreacres, Texas, the Houston Yacht Club is only 35 minutes from downtown Houston. The harbor offers immediate access to Galveston Bay with no boating traffic jams from any other marinas. Boat storage and usage facilities include more than 500 wet slips, small sailboat and power boat dry storage, Sunfish/Laser storage, two cranes for rapid launch, plus a dual launch ramp for trailers. HYC has a magnificent 27,000 square foot club house for the enjoyment of its members. Guest rooms are available for overnight or weekend stays for members and their guests.

Members and guests enjoy dining, both formal and informal, overlooking the harbor and Galveston Bay. The Club's culinary team prepares tempting meals including unique gourmet nights and regular lunches and dinners. Casual meals are available from the Porthole Grill. Special carry-out meals needed for on-the-water activities can be prepared as well for members.

Destination One Design

Destination One Design will be broadcasting a Pod Cast from Houston Yacht Club during the 2006 J 22 Midwinter Championships. 

Destination One Design will interview a variety of competitors about the day’s events. This five to ten minute broadcast will cover wind and sea conditions, rig settings and general observations.  Quantum’s own Farley Fontenot will also be watching the races and passing on his thoughts on how the racing is shaping up. 

We hope this tool with prove to be both educational and entertaining.
